And its frustrating because: 1) Mocking it does not address the reality we take for granted the last major progressive gov take-overs today. 2) We could be championing independence through local, sustainable action that removes gov AND addresses real environmental issues.

We keep acting like AOC is crazy. No. She's focused, passionate and persuasive. What other freshmen walks in and two weeks later has veteran senators promoting her proposal, several running for president? Conservatives don't realize how popular her ideas really are.

Her ideas are not popular once you explain how they are paid for and what folks give up to get them implemented.

A local FedEx center was approachwd to go union. 90% of the employees expressed interest, and so a union rep showed up and did a presentation on what joining the union would do for (and to) the employees.

After the presentation, and in particular the explainationn of how the seniority of the center would be restructured, interest in union membership went from 90% to 2%. Just because something sounds good on paper, doesn't mean it will work out as thought.

Or maybe because we don’t want another $60 TRILLION in debt based on the theory that a rail system would work here as well as it does in tiny Japan from a woman with a 430 credit score, we realize nuclear plants can’t safely be closed in 10 years, and we actually like cows.

@cernovich political parties shouldn’t have agendas for the country or us. We’re supposed to be free people and the governments sole pourpose is to protect that freedom, not direct our lives.

Democrats said the same thing about the ACA and now we're stuck with that pile of garbage. Change for change's sake is stupid. Just because one side has a plan and another does not (and I'm sure they do) doesn't automatically make that plan worth more than a hill of beans.

ACA would have worked better if 1) centrists allowed a public Medicare buy in option 2) All the red states that refused federal money to expand Medicaid did so as well. 3) worked to fix the problems with ACA instead of voting 50 times to repeal with no better plan.

They aren't supposed to have "bold plans" for the US. We are doing great. The plans are for the people to determine of their own free enterprise. Government exists to protect from fraud and force.
