Because people "in charge' of our country don't get affected by their decisions, their communities do not get affected by cuts in school budgets, over crowding, ESL costs, they don't need to use decrepit public transportation. America becoming third world 'rule-subject' state!

I’m guessing we only make decisions based upon the information we have today! Hindsight with everything is always 20/20! Thousands of military veterans made those decisions over decades and decades! I’m guessing they did it for a reason...

It was bad, but it's not like $ 7 Trillion of wealth thrown away. Huge part of this $$$ were paid to American personnel, military families, contractors, weapon makers etc. All these $$ went back in the economy, created jobs. Call it a sort of Keynesian stimulus.
