Fair enough my friend, your opinion is your own. The only rebuttal I have to that is: going into college and receiving loans is a CHOICE; whereas with the Federal Reserve, we have no such decision on the matter

Higher Education is fine, it's the COST of that which is oppressive. Why do colleges charge so much?????

Because they know the loans are all but guaranteed to anyone to pay whatever amount they want to charge.

So true! 30 years of scamming the middle class. One trillion in student debt. Capital spending for unnecessary “fantasy camp” infrastructure. Research = mostly a Ponzi. Building/infrastructure used for tiny portion of day. Endowments = dead money.

My kids know they better have a damn good reason if they choose to go to college, along with a clear plan of how college will help them achieve their goals. I'd rather they learn on the job, in the world and spend those 4 years exploring different fields while earning $$.
