Genuine question: how does Trump getting his SOTU change the dynamics of the argument? He'll still end up in the current situation he is in, with no funding for the wall, unless he declares a national emergency and build it that way. The Dems are NEVER going to give him the

Dems made a stink about not negotiating on wall funds w/ the govt shutdown. Shutdown is over. During the SOTU Trump will talk about how he's working in good faith, and the Dems still won't negotiate. He's flipping the blame for the next shutdown from him to the Dems.

You still don't get it do you? This Democratic party has lost all sense and shame. Trump can talk about the wall, all he likes in the SOTU, but they still won't release a $ for the wall. The earlier he realises that, and finds a way around it, the better for his chances in 2020.
