The thing you're forgetting Mike, it's the ones writing the rules to tax the wealthy are the same ones creating the loopholes for themselves. What they really mean is tax Republican wealth.

Usually the wealthy aren’t affected by income taxes because their money is in stock or other investments that avoid tax. It is the middle class trying to better themselves that get the 28% to 35% rates. Also these billionaires support moving jobs overseas to become more wealthy

I agree. As a conservative it’s not my job to defend corporate welfare. I’ve been warming a lot of “fiscal libertarians” up to the idea that raising wages won’t crash the economy and that if the past 30 years is all they have to show for their results then they are failures
-
You raise wages by increasing production. You increase production by eliminating taxes and regulations. If you’re warming libertarians to a minimum wage it’s only because they’ve foolishly failed to study economics.

do you want to scare renters shitless? don't put a tax. they OWN the lawyers and lawmakers, they'll win. tear down the barriers that keep their servants to bolt and set up shop. deregulation/reduced barriers to entry scares them to no end. also, many of them are PUBLIC renters.

I highly doubt most of these people saying it’s a bad idea will ever own $50 million. I don’t see a problem with it.

Yeah if eating the rich only hurt them and didn’t distort the economy in ways that are very detrimental to me, I’d be less concerned.

The only issue is who controls the money and who determines where the cutoff for wealth determination is. Eventually the amount being taxed will be lowered.

Conservatives have stood up for billionaires for decades. How did they thank us? Donating to Democrats, H1B, Illegal immigration, off-shoring jobs, shunning us, insulting us. They don't pay their taxes anyway.

Whatever the source, why give Big Gvernment ANY more taxes? You know as well as anyone that the Dems and their billionaire buddies will be conveniently excluded from ever really having to worry about such a tax. You’re falling for their same old lies. Bait & switch.
