Covingtongate is a conspiracy theory spread by the media, which held that several underage boys bullied a Vietnam veteran, Nathan Phillips. I wouldn’t exactly categorize the homophobic dude as an “ally” of Nathan Phillips.. I’m more convinced that Phillips had no idea what was going on (probably couldn’t hear over that drum), but his own personal biases lead him to confront the white kids.

Funny, he says he was trying to diffuse an escalating situation. But nobody has asked him why he didn’t walk up to the black men who were instigating and antagonizing those kids. In fact, so far nobody has asked them what prompted their vile acts. Hmmmmm....
