There are many old people who are not smart enough or deserving of deference. Deference is earned at all ages. Ie. Tom Arnold, Kathy Griffin.

They coule've just shook the old man's hand and went about their business. A small show of humanity and this whole thing could have been avoided. That said, nothing they did deserves the backlash they are facing.

I disagree Mike, neither of us were there to know what happened, and now children are publicly on the receiving end of torrents of racism for no reason at all. That is just not right. I don't think they deserve any criticism at all, but what they got was much worse.
