I love you, Cerno, but bad take. This behavior needs to be condemned completely. They weren’t just disrespectful- they were mocking and bullying.

They had just finished their school chant. The guy approached them peacefully. The reacted horribly. But no- the shame mob probably won’t do much and they, as teenagers, have the capacity to change and grow. I hope they do.

I see this as teenagers being not good, but adults forming an outrage mob being even worse.

I don’t. I remember some kids at my prep school throwing tortillas on the court at a basketball game against a majority Latino school. They were shamed by adults, appropriately, and learned from it. Most of those kids saw the evil in what they did and changed.

like most stories framing conservatives in a poor light there is more to the story, shocker. I agree though the group of teenagers could have moved or handled it differently but it is in no way the same situation that had originally been presented.
