stew is nice but there's a certain simplicity to soup that can't be beaten sometimes. Pair it with a nice bit of bread and that's a good gastro comfort hug

I am Eastern European- We eat soup before every entree. Therefore our soups are not so thick and it’s much better and healthier than any fried appetizer crap!

Both are great with a loaf of fresh baked bread. I make an awesome beef stew and sausage chicken gumbo. I made an ok broccoli cheddar soup. I guess I prefer stew but I do appreciate a good soup.

it's a very fine - and arbitrary - line between soup and stew. Not worth fighting over.

Soup. I've just recently learned to love soup. I make a new one each week in the winter. I never thought soup could be a meal, but I've learned to make soups that are meals. They are my favorite part of winter now.
