Aside, who “earns” $10 mil a year? Warren Buffett doesn’t. Jeff Bezos doesn’t. Bill Gates doesn’t... earnings are for the little people. A certain level of financial ignorance is built into this approach. She’s way behind the oligarchs. Tax billionaire “charities” if you want $$.

You're right. She should tax all the stratospheric passive income as well.

She’ll be cannibalized by her corrupt party who wants none of this talk of limousine liberals having to pony up. But she will make a lot of noise. And she can dance, so it’s not all bad.

A 10% tax rate on all business and personal income no write offs would quadruple the budget. Never will they discuss this. 95% get a large tax break. Until I hear that it is all bullshit.

Who cares how much the income is. These people generate wealth. You take away their incentive to create wealth and they will do it elsewhere.

I'm hoping she's chooses to come up with a wealth tax. If the Koch Brothers want open borders for cheap labor, they should reap the benefits of the voter base change.

Except that her plans can't be funded only on the rich, everybody's tax rates will be dramatically increased.

I want to know when the Maga idiots thought America was great so emwe can be great again. Then let's look at the tax rate on the ultra wealthy for that time period. Then let's do that again. I'll take my chances on that rate.

Which would create a sharp inflection point of diminishing returns. I don't think that's wise.

Mike, you keep saying that. But there’s no fair argument to have the rate set anywhere over the poverty level or the median income level. Fair is fair. Why should you keep anything over $50k when there’s hard working folks only earning $12k? Zero chance this doesn’t creep.

Still no good. All the govt would do is spend it and then need more. Businesses would leave America (again) and then they would have nothing.

How many times are we going to be suckered into soak-the-rich economics? The top rate was 77% in 1918 to 1M earners and progressed to 94% in 1944 to 200K earners. 10M is an unimaginable & unreachable figure to most of the people just like 200K was to people 2-3 generations ago.
