They need some financial advice to manage money as well. Scary that most Americans don't have a months pay in reserve to cover emergencies.

What do these people think happens when the government cancels a contract, close a military base, stop funding a project? People loose their jobs and have to cope. Americans outside of government deal with this all the time.

Many lenders are being very forgiving towards government employees. Hope her husband isn’t one of those TSA employees who calls in “sick” regularly now, otherwise his paycheck will suffer when payroll resumes. Every one of those employees who actually goes to work will get paid.

Allow process to work. Get McConnell to move the bill on his desk. Let the President sign or veto it. Move forward.
