This dad is getting a lot of hate, and he shouldn't. His is a COMMON experience. Mine is different, however know the risks. A thread....about why I'm glad I waited to have kids until my late 30's.pic.twitter.com/kJyCSn8qbm

It’s true. All I ever needed was a boat, truck and my dog. Don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t trade my kids for that life back ever, but it was easy, and more than fine.
That is a man who only wants to live for himself. He is still selfish and doesn’t understand that sacrificing for someone else is truly living. We have the ultimate example of sacrifice, they wrote 22 books about him and people have continuously died for him.
Kids generated a work ethic in me that did not exist before they were born, but once they were born they also soaked up a lot of time which undermines a lot of work projects.
Which is why married men earn so well; they have to. Wasn't necessary as much being single
Having kids change everything.
Exactly what my dad told me.
We do live cheaply, just paying for ourselves. I grow tired of it to be honest cause its no challenge.. The challenge of becoming a father is like facing 100 world class chess players at once and you have only 1 board. Bring it on.
Not exactly a ringing endorsement. One can certainly have meaning without children, and I think we're likely to see more of that in the future.
Completely agree. I was 37 when I had my first. It was a conscious choice to change lifestyles, because to raise a family right takes complete dedication. Your time becomes 98% focused on them, or your doing it wrong.
I can't disagree. I am that guy. Although, not sure I like your tone about single guys. Not our fault you wanted to man up and have a kid. That shit is on you, bro.
I can get you a van and show you a river.
Truest shit I’ve ever heard.
Shhh.Don't tell. Men are already scared these days.
Kids change everything. You now look at the horizon - the future - as a stakeholder. It really matters in a way it didn’t before.
Why can't a woman live that cheap?
