You have just described how socialism works. The arguments are rooted in emotions instead of facts. It is "immoral" to build a border wall, for instance. The "dirty Jews control the banks and they're mean". The "factory owners control the means of production and they hate you".

This fact will hold many people back, and is evident no more so than in traditional Republican circles where losing is acceptable so long as your argument was factual.

There are two types of winning. Being right versus convincing the majority to side with you. It's often frustrating for me to see the losing argument sway people for various reasons.

When hadiths end, arguments begin.
