        If tariffs don’t work, why does every other country have them on our goods? Until some politician answers that, I say go for it.

        Tariffs are good if you want to protect a certain industry from outsourcing at the expense of everything else. Otherwise, they artificially raise prices, stifle market competition (i.e. innovation, & may cause more job loss in other sectors that depend on the protected industry.

        Yes it’s protectionism. I get that. My argument is that Trump & by extension the US has been GLOBALLY condemned for these tariffs yet EVERY leader has tariffs on some goods, including our exports . Hypocrites get no pass. Make them answer why they can have it & not the US.

        People think these "experts" know how to read the future. If economists could predict what would happen to even a SINGLE sector a year from now, they'd be wealthy beyond measure. The fact that they're not should make you take their word no different than that of a weather man.
