Only if you are wanting one "grill" to do it all (grilling, smoking, baking) and you plan to use it every other day or at least once a week. Otherwise there are other ceramic "eggs" out there that cost less. But the BGE is the Cadillac of the ceramic grills. Many attachments.

Yes. Able to get grill hot enough to properly cook a 1 1/2" ribeye. Get the blower fan setup. And buy the biggest one they make. Oh and pizza stone is a treat.
