once you abolish terms as "hate speech" the lexicon of forbidden terms will INEVITABLY expand...hate speech reflects pre-existing realities, the bad word is the consequence of the bad reality, the bad reality just produces new hate speech terms

How does this apply to you deleting comments and blocking people who don't agree with you (civilly and with questions, not attacks/berating behavior)? Asking for a friend (who you blocked for commenting on the NYC blow out being a nothing burger).
-
No disrespect intended to either side, I have a quick question for Jesse. Does it really matter if one gets blocked by Cernovich? I mean, he's not the be all end all of Twitter and/or news. Most of the personalities on here will block or mute if u post opposing pov.
-
Especially if u make any sense. And if they feel they're being trolled.
-
I am not saying that it matters, per se. I don't block people I talk to people. I converse my point & respond to people's counterpoints (or more regularly non arguments) w/ facts & real world examples, where applicable. I fully recognize everyone has their own way, of course.
-
I've only blocked or muted a few who were very obviously just trying to pester me. But I've been blocked by some pretty well known people, like Bill Prady of Big Bang Theory. He didn't like me calling him out on donating to hurricane victims only if they oppose the wall.
-
Yeah that is the kind of thing my wife and I get too. But I do appreciate when big names act like a thug or bully someone who dares question them. It is quite revealing. Especially when they were being called out for propagating fake news over a completely normal act of nature.
