Last month mine got cut off. I just found a way to scrape together the dough and pay the bill. Each month is a real struggle to decide what bills I can be late on. The struggle is real indeed.

I don't remember struggling for food - but I do remember the church rallying to bring us meals.

There are loads of very poor families here in the US. It's sad and I do wish we would spend on those families and the homeless before sending assistance overseas.

The kids on welfare in my city in CT never had this problem - if ours got shut off we went to their apts to take a shower - my dad got pissed we were paying their ride because he worked as a mechanic ... and they didn't work At All - this was in the 70"s

And then there was the mice infestation. I still have PTSD from that. You want to talk about being ashamed to let someone in your house. Look folks it does get rough for some of us out there. Just because you can't see us doesn't mean we don't exist.

You've been on a roll with this issue, Mike. I wasn't poor during childhood, but struggled for yrs during adulthood because there just aren't any stable jobs out there anymore, and been like that since the 90s. The GOP Boomer nonsense of "well just start a business!" is BS
