AOC did not grow up working class, but we live in an post-truth world (maybe it was always this way, and we didn't realize it), and she's an Architect of reality. Her conservative critics know this. She claps back, they get "social proof" from her replies. Everyone wins.

That's not the Bronx which is what she represented. There are rich and poor in Westchester county. But she was born in Bronx and moved out very young.

AOC is not the first to use this ploy. Bill Clinton put out the story that he lived in a home with an out house until he was 4. (Like 4yr olds care about plumbing.) Biden, Kasich, the list goes on. Hillary's woe-is-me story was that her Dad was so stingy.
