It’s these stories (along with many more) that make living in the middle of nowhere, growing your own vegetables/ meat source, and homeschooling you’re kids more sensible than anything else the state or government can provide.

After reading “in Defense of Food” by Michael Pollan, I decided learn how to grow some of my own food to eat. It is hard work, but so delicious.

The propaganda about vegetables and subsidized "healthy" whole grains is meant to keep the price of the most satiating food, micro-nutrient rich saturated fat and protein from animals, from surging while fooling the world into believing the cost of living is under control.
