Many of The Weekly Standard people were garbage af but I grew up poor and empathize with people who lose jobs. I derive no pleasure from this suffering, especially around Christmas. And I pray for those who are happy children might not get presents this year. Heal yourselves.

I don't remember any of these WS folks crying over the millions of parents who lost their jobs due to NAFTA. Ross Perot knew what was going to happen, and ALL of our elite, these people included, laughed at him. Finally, after decades, Trump showed up to remind us who matters.

I don't feel much sympathy for people who actually make a living giving their effing political opinions and then who lose their jobs doing THAT. Building on the genius of Burt Rutan, yesterday Virgin Galactic made history. Giving political opinions should be a hobby, not a job.
