They never did mean anything.. Everyone is imprinted with the competitive American spirit to “pick a side” and fight making them incredibly divisive and easy to manipulate. But essentially, everyone wants the same thing.

In my lil opinion, the left and right has morphed into factions that despise their own ideas coming from someone eles mouth,its such a grey murky water (world wide) politics+media+tech evolution of the past 25years= a world wide state of anger,confusion and ultimately apathy
