Not always true. Many fans get upset when a new movie or game, ect, are about to come out and its overly hyped. When the inevitable disappointment comes, its much worse than if it was more of an honest marketing campaign.
The number one mistake of marketing is UNDER-marketing, not OVER-marketing.
