If it's happening at that time of year, it could very well have to do with a school-required immunization and a reaction to it. I'm not an anti vaxxer, but it's the most obvious starting point.

You'd think there'd be an etiology you could compare across cases to know what was causing similar symptoms. What did each kid do, or have done to them, before their paralysis? Why is this "a mystery?"
