If you hold conservative views... 2018 was the year of being ghosted, blocked & shadow banned 2019 will be the year of being unpersoned, socially shunned, & widespread de-platforming coordinated by tech companies At this rate I wonder what 2020 will be like for conservatives?

Sure, but that they were not neutral must have been obvious, right? You know humans, NO ONE is neutral and when these things revolve around one person that shows through. See lefties *sudden* surprise at Musks views etc. Same deal - no shit Sherlock! You know?
-
It was neutral man. I am telling you. I lived it. Three years ago, internet censorship is what happened in China. This wasn’t something people reasonable foresaw. Read articles from years ago. Free speech strongly supported.

I need more than a 'slippery slope' and a 'false comparison' fallacy though. I see this issue (and subverting democracy) as killing FB. The left hate the platform if you hadn't noticed. The market will do what the market does. This is tech, it'll be gone soon enough - build!
-
And stop with the "Internet Censorship" already! :-) It's like my gripe with you on "MSM". Yes, some platforms are censoring. Big deal, get off that platform. Vote with your feet and your dollars. Be gab only or whatever. WE ARE THE PRODUCT, if we remove ourselves it dies.
-
Apply your logic to any other group and see if it holds. “Stop with this discrimination b.s. Go start your own Wall Street!” You’ll see why it doesn’t hold.
-
It’s total BS and denies the reality that we need these sites for things like our children’s schools, so many schools ask you to join private FB groups for projects, if you’re on the right and get banned that creates a vast # of issues. Twitter & FB are the public square now.
-
Knowing how the sites have interwoven with commerce, education and national dialogue/news/debate it’s clear that it’s a utility at this point. They built these businesses on our content under a false premise of equal standards.
-
You know - I'm not against this angle. I think they're not "just a platform" I think they should adhere to the laws of publishing and news etc. No argument here.
