All this does is prove to the uninitiated that the media really and truly does not care about bigotry in the slightest. All they care about is using the label to bury people they don’t like. And we keep feeding that evil by apologizing for things not worthy of one. Fuck ‘em.

Because they already did it three years ago, geniuspic.twitter.com/wdWY1uZRCm

But they already did kevin years ago aswell bit still found a way to bring it back up. If you going be offended by something asleast be fair with the dragging of careers.
-
They did do Kevin years ago too. Obviously the media only report these things to make money, because that's all they ever do, but people have the capacity not like two different celebrities at the same time and not be constantly talking about it

You mean held accountable?
-
He apologized for those jokes many times for years. How long do you feel he should be held accountable compared to
@SarahKSilverman@amyschumer and@chelseahandler ? -
time to have standards as in who is given the power 2 b possible roll model. Material success was never enough. I do agree that after this action, he should be given a chance to prove himself. Funny thing is, that if he was a white guy who made racist jokes, no one would forgive
-
Or pick role models based on who they are as people, not on how famous they are. That’d be a place to start
-
That’s one place to start. But why can’t our role models feel a certain way and believe how they do and we be just as tolerant of them as we are of those who live a lifestyle we don’t agree with? Part of diversity and understanding that we are not all the same and shouldn’t be.
-
Of course it’s good we’re all different. That’s what makes life interesting. But a role model by its very definition is someone to look up to and admire, not someone to tolerate
-
Not necessarily. The word role is the key. We wanna act like a role model is a life model. If I wanted to be an athlete, there are plenty of them that I would follow as an athlete that I might not as a husband, father or human being. They are modeling a role.
-
Hold my
! Isn't a good athlete a good role model in general? Would you provide such objectivity if your model athlete harmed one of your family members? Preached wrong message to your child? A society isn't built on laws, it's built on responsibility. - 2 more replies
