I was just telling someone the other day how little my career makes sense now (I'm a Bitcoin analyst), but realized it was the synthesis of talent stacks I'd been building for the last 7yrs: engineering/computer science, capital markets, and philosophy.

Honestly, I just thought about it. Mechanical engineer-> machine learning engineer-> blockchain analyst. It took me 6 years to build my skills to be here.

He reminds me of you when I listen to his periscopes. He explains everything so clearly for us regular folks. You both have such a higher level of intellect it’s refreshing to listen too.

I find myself trying to be as calm and rational as Scott when I debate a liberal in person. I try to speak softly like he does and make it less about confrontation and more about understanding that there are ‘two movies’. It never works though. They just “REEEEEEEEEEE”.

I'm waiting, with bated breath, on Dale's first book. But I hope there's no "edging," (like in the last periscope) because I don't read those kind of books!

Mind isn’t magic. It’s a system you can program. Most important metric personal energy. Every skill doubles your odds of success. Happiness is health + freedom. Luck can be managed, sort of. Fitness is the lever that moves the world. Simplicity transforms ordinary into amazing.

Scott Adams was revered in the Computer Science (and general computer nerds) circles I know. And not for being "just a cartoonist": he described out experiences (with PHB for example) to a t. Of course, I'm pretty sure many have taken down his cartoons off their cube walls. 1/*

… when they learned he was not quite the person they wanted/believed him to be. Me? I still love Dilbert. And I still know too little about his politics to say how much we agree/disagree (I'm old lefty, and somewhat of a liberal, but not a "progressive") 2/2
