I know a very well educated and professional woman who was taken by this scam. She was so wrapped up in the emotional reaction to the threat against her financial well being that she didn't consider it logically. I used to think only the old and uneducated fell for it.

I believe it. They told me I could face up to 5 years in prison, all assets and bank/credit accounts frozen if I didn't do what they were telling me to do. They were very adamant about it.
