I’m pro-gun control, but I enjoy playing video games with guns. I consider these to be two different things, and I’m able to hold these views simultaneously. One is reality, one isn’t.

We're talking about movies chief
-
Look chief, I’m using video games as a proxy for movies in this case. Stretch your intellect a little, sizzlechest.
-
Video games are a pixelated choose your adventure roleplaying experience. Film is totally different. There is a lot of research on this. It's a stupid proxy. Maybe you should think it through before insulting someone else's intellect
-
Oh, so we’re bringing “a lot of research” into this discussion now? But we aren’t citing any. Kay.

Google it. If you're too slow to see the substantive differences between video games & film and our relationship and society's to them, there's nothing for me in this convo except dunking on you. And that's not worth my time. There's enough in this thread for readers to judge

-
“Google it” - Great argument, chief. Ok. Let me take a step back. I enjoy movies with guns. I enjoy guns in movies. I enjoy shooting guns in real life. I think there should be more gun control laws. I hold these views simultaneously. Like video games, movies are not reality.
