what about the highway robbery called college. Took my son to a college fair last night and the cheapest college for one year was $19,500. I can't afford that shit. Anyone got other ideas than getting brainwashed in college to be able to get gainful employment ??

Save the money. Let him learn finance, some STEM field of interest to him and add an additional income stream such as a job or business of his own.

Ya, he is taking a couple of AP computer classes in high school now. As of now, he is leaning towards that. I just started researching some technology programs that are like 9-12 months....

How bout $200-300 to buy books of his choice? Just my idea. Not advice.

So true... living in Los Angeles (late 20's), very solid salary, and can't afford any homes in my area. Prices keep increasing to ridiculously high amounts.

So, the boomers gonna raise interest rates to drop housing prices and screw themselves? Didn’t think so.

One solution is for the federal govt to get out of the land owning business. Allow more land to be available and prices will come down.

First they said they should have an education. Now that an entire generation is in debt they should be allowed to go deeper in debt to get a house? Maybe if someone introduced a "build your own home program" where people work in construction and after a year can get a mortgage.

I think this and other issues are common, but the real differences between the parties have to do with the methods to solve them.

Immigration & identity will be the number one issues in 2020 just like they were in 2016 Probably will still be in 2024 because nobody not even Trump is doing anything about it

This can be done in most/many areas (not counting some of high cost cities/regions) but not with the current mindset of many 20 & 30-somethings who want to drive new(er) cars, eat out every night, constant new clothes & shoes, expensive vacations. It's about choices.
