Tech / banking monopolies need taxed more, they don’t pay fair share. Military spending switches to infrastructure, our roads and fiber optics a joke. CEO pay should be capped at 50 time the median salary for any company receiving government contracts.https://twitter.com/erinkappers/status/1044799161802076161 …

Pull all forces out of W. Europe, the countries are not interested in the safety of US personnel anymore. Russia is NOT a threat conventionally speaking, China is the bigger threat. Pull the forces back, move that money into infrastructure.

That means Jeff Bezos gets paid about $1,000,000 per year. By what mechanism in a global economy do you think someone who builds that much value is going to be able to be capped like that.

Price caps on wages are a bad idea. They don’t stop people from getting paid, they increase costs, lawyer, banking fees etc. and its an arbitrary way to qualify companies that are being paid with public funds.

Excellent suggestions. Follow-up regarding capped at 50x median salary... WHICH median salary? Off the median salary in which the company is "based"? Off the median salary from where the CEO resides (federal or state median?)??? Sorry for all the questions, but very intrigued!

Who are you to decide what a CEO gets paid? Government doesn’t decide that? Taxes taxes taxes, that’s what we need more taxes! Less military. Sounding dangerously close to a Democrat.

An economy is wholly a construct of government; businesses function within a framework of laws. The very concept of a corporation is a construct of government. Government graces you with the capability to prosper, and you have to pay for the privilege with taxes. Case closed.

Yeah. That's a socialist position. If you're gonna control executive salaries, it should be based on the aggregate of subordinate salaries not median. The CEO of a 10,000 person company supports 10,000 families.

Even that doesn't seem right to me. Maybe as a starting point to determine the salary range when hiring, but that should be the owner/s choice for whatever metric they use. But to set it in stone thru the gov.?
