Both are very inexpensive, I wasn't depressed but took them for other health reasons, one big thing I notice is I sleep better, not sure which one is to blame but I think it's the NAC

The government funds studies on these substances but unless you are diligent you will likely not know about them. NAC appears to help with obstructive sleep apnea, for example: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21838198

I have been taking both (along with other vita-nutrients) for 6 years and can vouch for them. If I awaken in the night and can’t get back to sleep, I take GABA and L-Tryptophan. Works every time. Husbster, too.
