The one issue that I lean left on is the judicial system. Way too many people go through our courts like customers at a fast food place. Don't get me wrong, the guilty deserve to be punished, but we must remember that they are innocent until convicted. /1

That is not leaning left unless your position is based on intersectionality. Right believes in a fair trial too, for instance, title 9 opposition.
-
You make a valid point. But the right champions law and order, plus tough on crime, which often leaves the innocent caught up in crimes they didn't do.
-
I disagree, not in the sense that it never happens, it does, but I am unconvinced by your claim it is often and the fault of the right. Technically the right champions the constitution which has several sections about innocence, probable cause, etc (which I am sure you know)
-
The right is for cutting the budget, something that I also agree with. But sometimes they make cuts to the public defender part. Louisiana was notorious for this.
-
I could see that being a problem. I hadn't considered that. I do feel like other cuts are more appropriate, since the courts are a legitimate part of government.

And even if convicted there is always a chance that they could be innocent. Everyone deserves an impartial jury and a lawyer that has given their case their utmost attention. And while in prison, they should be treated as human beings regardless of their crime. /2
