I am really surprised that prosecutors don't have to share exculpatory evidence before someone pleads guilty. Assuming a defendant doesn't plead guilty ASAP this seems wrong. How do we reign in government prosecutors?

All prosecutors have to turn over all evidence, especially exculpatory evidence in Discovery. Though every day in every courtroom in America, Brady violations go on and there is no punishment, even by the lawyers union.

Exactly, depending on the issue I’ve found myself siding with Ginsburg opinions. Law is a lot more nuanced. Media is invested in only focusing on culture war issues.

Ginsburg has written a whole lot and the things she has written aren’t all that controversial. Scalia was the most entertainment.

Doesn't seem reasonable being that defense-oriented, non-prosecutorial entities have nowhere near the power and ability that state and fed governments have for searching for, finding, collecting, and storing any and all evidence - both 4 and against someone.

So, are you implying that you feel we would be better served by an all Liberal SC?

It will change with Trump style republicans. Much less trustful of government and law enforcement institutions. Will be an interesting mix.

In case no one has clued you in, this fight is largely about protecting the 2nd Amendment. Once that goes, we're all fucked anyway. I am rabidly pro-Kavanaugh on that basis alone. Keep your eyes on the ball and ease up on the nitpicking.

It's not like that though. A left leaning judge will not be a Constitutionalist. We can't know how they will decide, Roberts ruined his position w/ocare but we can pick 1 who will (hopefully) do justice. The jury is still out on Gorsuch. Point: try not to let a case go to SCOTUS

If SCOTUS had been a liberal majority, then right now we'd have no or little 1st or 2nd Amendment rights. There are too many 5/4 decisions.

SCOTUS needs to take this up and flush it down. The state needs to be on the side of justice, not on the side of winning.
