Elon Musk made similar posts as Scott Adams, noting, in response to an article about Schrodinger’s cat, “To conserve computing power, a simulation would only render an object when it is observed.”https://www.cernovich.com/are-we-living-inside-a-simulation/ …

Imagine a mashup video of you, Adams, Musk and Jones all discussing this.

A convincing simulation would itself act as observer, it remains keenly aware of the state of the object we can no longer observe assuming we are even the intended observers. Also is it not a mistake to attribute to the hypothetical CPU our own tech limits and work-arounds?

So no rendering if we can't witness it. Fractals are probably the algorithms for our reality. Our AI is then determined by our culture, our ancestors, our geography, and who we hang around. Our AI would then change over time based on the other AI we come into contact with.

With media being a way to change our AI. Also goes with Adams notion that we are moist robots and we can manipulate our own emotions by playing with out controls.

Also makes Terrence Myckennas ideal about Psychedelic being a way to wipe our slate make more sense. They can wipe out parts of our code so we can rewrite it. Alright sorry for all the responses but it catches my fancy.

The universe is a limited 'hard drive'. Only what is observed exists but what can be observed is infinite. Don't worry, you're not suppose to understand it.

So in the simulation, if a tree falls in the wilderness and no one is there to hear it, it doesn’t make any sound?
