Is that research/pastebin from you or from someone else? (thinking of writing an article and crediting the right source)

it is not by me. It was shared by Barthen.
-
Sorry for the obvious question, but how confident are you that this is real?
-
It's almost identical to PSP, PS3 and PSVita and I know that on PS4 it works the same so it must be true.
-
On PS3 we used this way to rebuild 3.55 compatible eboot.bin. On PSP, for 1.50 eboot.bin. On PSVita, we don't do that because we don't use the official SDK nor have keys to decrypt 3.61+ games...
-
well you can decrypt 3.61+ games with psvpfsparser and the Zrif/Klicensee of the Game :)
-
except the eboot.bin ! and a 3.61+ encrypted eboot.bin can't run on 3.60 PSVita...

The ??? step is missing.
-
what do you mean ?
-
There should be '???' before Profit
-
before Step 4. Profit there is only Step 3.

So does this mean if we can successfully extract and decrypt official pkg files like from sony we can lower the required fw and repkg thus allowing us to play alot more games and stay on 4.05?

-
need a exploit hahaha
-
Doesn’t really make sense then xd unless someone with private higher fw kexploit dumps games, but that’d be stupid to do lol & for what stupid piracy games
-
