First, throughout this pandemic women have been leading, healing and caring for not their children, families, friends, partners, communities and our country - all while sustaining some of the hardest economic impacts.

Reopening too early in certain regions forces millions of women to go back to work in unsafe conditions, putting them and their families at risk of becoming infected or reinfected.

And women in many of these jobs risk getting sick without access to paid sick leave. Meaning they can’t afford to take time off if they do get sick. All while living in fear of losing their jobs DURING an economic crisis.

Every day the Trump administration’s inadequate response to this pandemic is putting our health and our families at risk. Our government is **failing** us and yet has the gall to ask women to put their lives on the line to keep the country running.

Women have been holding our economy and the whole damn country together and must be supported at every level - from having federally mandated paid sick leave to having access to affordable childcare and healthcare.
