Merry Christmas all, remember u have no obligation to ur family or friends, this is for u to recharge not others. If u need to be alone be alone, if u need family be with them, but do what is best for u not 'Aunty Brenda'. Look after yourselves & have a great Christmas!

Unbelievable. If we don't protect people's mental health on areas simply identified & actioned, what hope is there moving on? We MUST have joined up thinking on protecting young people from further mental harm.

This is so sad, we have society that creates an automatic embarrassment to a person struggling. Creating more issues & anxiety from something that should be so simply to deal with. We need to educate & destroy stigma.

Mental health is based on a continuum and can fluctuate at different times, however, if you are experiencing prolonged difficulties and this is getting in the way of uni life, please seek support:

So many of us say we're 'fine' when it's far from the truth & we know friends who do the same, always & be there for your friends & family. talked about this in the past months along with & many others, lets not forget this message!

Mental health is still overlooked & talked about in hushed tones. Comments like "Stop complaining you're fine" & similar are far more common place than many admit. Believe in yourself & do not go gentle into that good night!

It's not just students that get hit by mental health issues, with the stresses of university life hitting academics too. More so recently according to new studies with academics contacting counselling service up three-quarters between 2009 and 2015.

The biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK being suicide, yet we ignore it? We say 'man up' in sports teams, in school & society in general. It needs to end, it isn't weak to open up, it shows real strength!
