OK, but also, some people are smarter than others, and it would also explain what you're seeing if being smarter led to both going to University and voting Remain. Reality doesn't care whether that's "patronizing"...

I agree with all your points. Also: • many more young people go to Uni than previously
they are more pro-Remain
age may be the reason rather than Uni education
• many highly educated prominent politicians and journalists are Leavers
caused & influenced Leave movement

• link to disadvantaged neglected areas, so it's a protest movement
we should have tried to understand them & address their genuine concerns rather than labelling them which deepened division.
