Yes, I do crowdfunding. 😀 It's for a fairly small share of my income, but I do use it to support some low-paying or non-paying projects. If you'd like to pitch in, thanks!

Apparently the Russians thought, the Ukrainians won the Borsch war… claiming the delicious beetroot soup for themselves and burning cook books?!? Listen to this ridiculous rant by the Russian MFA spokesman.

Charlotte Bronte thought herself plain and yet she received six proposals of marriage. 1851 James Taylor, chief clerk of her publisher, proposed but Charlotte's "veins ran ice". The rejected Taylor moved to Mumbai where he died in 1874.

  6. I enjoyed this book and enjoyed 's review of it. Though I know lots of others don't, I personally look back on the 90s quite fondly.

The first time my kid called me "Daddy" my heart melted. That feeling was tempered somewhat the first time he called a stranger on the street "Daddy." Today he called the roomba "Daddy" and I'm starting to feel a little insulted. My wife has it worse, though. He calls her "milk."

Per - "Ukrainian forces retain control of defensive positions in eastern and southwestern Mariupol, despite Russian claims to have captured most of the city... Ukrainian counterattacks toward Kherson continue to threaten Russian positions around the city."

The Roman world at the time of Trajan’s death in 117 AD stretched from the shores of the Caspian Sea in the east to Spain’s Atlantic coast in the west; from Britain in the north to Egypt in the South.

Putin wants Russians to believe that they are fighting Nazis again ala the Great Patriotic War. But actually, the Russian invasion of Ukraine is more parallel to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

An extremely simplistic way of handling this is "you know how [straight characters] fell in love? That's what usually happens, but sometimes girls fall in love with girls and boys fall in love with boys. We don't really know which it will be for you."

there's a lot of parents, myself included, who don't like seeing gay characters in cartoons for little kids. there's no way to answer questions about that without getting into sexuality, which is what we're trying to avoid. and it's been snuck in on purpose Soros-style

“If NATO hadn’t expanded, Russia wouldn’t have brutally invaded Ukraine” is doing a lot of work protecting world views refuted by Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine.
