Aviation is a lifeline for millions of businesses, jobs and livelihoods. Thousands of workers are stood down, many without pay. Now job losses are planned. Aviation workers need AviationKeeper so when Australia is ready to fly again, they are too

  3. If the Government doesn't come up with a plan for aviation we will see more job and route losses. We need a plan for aviation now. Every job lost or route cut will be the direct result of Scott Morrison’s inaction.

Flights: Cancelled. Jobs: Cancelled. Pay: Cancelled. Jobkeeper: Cancelled. Enough is enough. Today we've taken out full page ads calling on to bring in AviationKeeper. Maybe this time he’ll listen. Sign the petition:

Regional road safety infrastructure projects must consider heavy vehicle rest areas for our truckies. Consultation with truck drivers on design of these rest areas as well as where they should be located is essential and would be a perfect place for to start. 🚚

Voting has just closed. No matter what happens, I'm so proud of the positive campaign we have run to make sure that Eden-Monaro is not left behind. I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you.

John Barilaro is someone I've worked with to get outcomes for my community. I'll work with people from all sides of politics to get the best for Eden-Monaro.

  9. This shows the important of local manufacturing. By buying local the Victorian Government has supported thousands of jobs across the community while delivering a brilliant product.

When my husband Brad and I posed for this photo at my deb ball, we could never have imagined that 20 years later we would be criss-crossing our region to campaign in a by-election. I’m so pleased he could join me on the road this week.

Aviation underpins Aussie business and tourism, contributing more than $18bil to the economy each year and employing hundreds of thousands of people. Without an aviation support package this integral part of the Australian economy will crash. Read more:

ABC emergency broadcasts saved lives during the summer bushfires. The Liberal Government has cut $83.7 million in funding to the ABC. I'm going to reverse that.

The ABC literally saved lives during the bushfires. I know that. knows that. Why doesn’t this Government? Labor will reverse Scott Morrison’s cuts to the ABC – because a strong ABC is more important than ever.

I live right next to a newly locked-down suburb in Melbourne. I have canceled all plans for my 50th birthday. I’ll lock down again if asked. Why? Cos when I left London in March, the UK had 140 deaths. They now have over 40,000. I’d rather be safe.

Big whack at Scott Morrison from . Calls out a PM who is more interested in politics than bringing the nation together.

  19. Tonight’s Four Corners showed again the Government’s failures when it comes to Virgin and aviation. We know that there was cabinet division, we know they haven’t taken a sector-wide approach and we know routes will be lost. Workers and regional Australia will suffer.

Since 2013, the Liberal Government has cut annual funding for the Barton Highway by 65%. That’s why I’ve pledged $250 million to make the Barton Highway duplication a reality.
