"Through Garveyism, print culture, and labor migration, the global black south comes into focus as a dynamic black geography wherein laborers enacted a sharecropper and tenant farmer transnationalism that contradicted corporate plantation logics." Love this essay by

I don't like to draw attention to it, but I have a wild side. For example when the instructions say, "Tumble dry low, remove promptly," I take my sweet time getting to the dryer.

Fantastic to see this. When I teach Dorothy Parker, I say we’ll do a little book history & ask if anyone noticed who owns the copyright. Only once, one student noticed. The question helps teach 3 things: DP, a way to do book history, & principles.

I’ve said this before, but if you’re doing an MLK day service project consider bringing King-level analysis to it. Don’t just serve lunch at a soup kitchen, interogate why millions of ppl live in poverty in the first place. King’s legacy isn’t about charity, it’s about justice.

I loved Kevin Wilson's *Nothing to See Here*. The novel's central metaphor--children who burst into flames--explores meltdowns, neuroatypicality, and the gift (and burden) of weirdness. Adults who desire normality, beauty, and power prove very sinister.
