Working on art assets again today--here are two of the three LIs so far. Still not happy w/right's face (and hair?) or left's hand (and maybe shade down the eyes?), but it's a WIP. Effort really isn't a substitute for XP in craft but I'm muddling through...

Drawing with a weak sense of anatomical construction is like having a rock in your shoe that you can't get rid of... I can FEEL the problem and generally where it is, but I can't figure out what needs to change. to fix it
after grinding my gears for two weeks on code, I finally relented and went back to design and instantly was flooded with solutions to my old questions/problems should have had faith in myself that I wasn't just avoiding the work what needed doin'
I really enjoyed the C# Yellow Book and understood most of the principles there as he was going along; I feel like I need something similar for Unity as an engine. I suspect that, despite the relative simplicity of the project itself, I'm going to need a more ground-up approach.

The worst part is the steps that they're taking that seem like safeguards (or infrastructure) against future problems or engine requirements that I'm not even aware of. I'm okay with burning my fingers on a pot to learn, but at my level I barely understand what an OVEN is.

Ugh. Not knowing shit is hard. I can pseudocode what I need, but when I watch someone putting together a comparable project in real time it's like I'm immersed in a foreign language and only catching words here and there w/o being able to parse their relations to one-another.

at any rate, today is more practicing Unity by copying a "let's make a" video my current personal struggle is trying to figure out why the screen size that the canvas+anchors represent DOESN'T match the dimensions of the screen when running at full screen mode?
