    Turns out if your kids are arguing you can just play the song "I'm Gonna Be (500 miles)" and march them around the house and they will totally forget whatever they were arguing about

    I've had a couple friends tell me I'm pretty/photogenic lately and I have the hardest time taking the compliment. I got made fun of pretty hard for the way I looked as a kid. Every selfie or video I take means overcoming a tremendous amount of anxiety. But it's getting easier.

    When reviews for my book starting coming in, I went back and read reviews on every media I ever loved. All my favorite movies, books, and video games. It gave me a lot of good perspective and helped me learn reviews help spread the word. It helps me keep writing, keep going.

    Vintage reviews of classic horror movies from critics who hate horror movies and are disgusted with people who enjoy them are always the best. They never realized that it was reviews precisely like this one that probably sold more tickets than the glowingly positive reviews!
