    There's more to birdlife at Foulshaw Moss than the wonderful ! Chris Scaife spotted this female lesser redpoll at the hide & on the feeder near the entrance. This small finch can be seen in flocks, often with siskins & is becoming a more common garden visitor.

    Our this week is Wych Elm (Ulmus glabra)! Elm can be identified by they’re winged fruit called . Wych elm are thought to be the only truly native and like other elms are under major threat from Dutch elm disease which arrived in 1950 🌳
