I'm outraged by the looting in Union Square last night. We are seeing similar crimes across the country. I have a simple message: don't bring that noise to our City. Great work by SFPD. Standby for felony charges.

Nothing gonna change. He’ll charge felony but will absolutely drop to misdemeanor in favor of restorative justice. Same sad song the last two years

I’m like can you at least have them write an essay and community service? That’s what I had to do when I was 12 for stealing a lip gloss.

Please elaborate on your point. My point was I was held accountable as a 12 year old and learned my lesson. What is yours?

You knew not to Steal before you Stole You knew there was a penalty for stealing but u Stole You took the consequences But you overall you still Stole. It wasn’t the consequences that stop u you’ve left out what your process of redemption was. What players helped you overcome

You should ask these grown adults who are repeat offenders what their ‘process of redemption’ is and ‘what players helped them overcome it’. As a 12 year old my redemption was being held accountable by Target and writing an essay and volunteering to pick up trash.
