I work on and off the Hill. I wish her staff were nicer and I wish she’d stop running for office. These career politicians seem to think they’re the only ones who can do the job. She’s 74yo. Ask if her if this is her last term. Her primary this year was close and under suspicion.
Rep Maloney has been a champion of women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, 9/11 workers, gun violence victims, sexual assault victims, and got the 2nd ave subway built. She has fought tirelessly for NYC since her days in the city council. Sorry her staff wasn’t nicer to you. LOL.
“LOL” it’s not just me. Her office has a reputation. I deal with advocates who are fighting major illnesses like cancer wanting to visit her office. Again, she is one of these career politicians who thinks they are the only ones who can be champions in all those areas.
She got 9/11 Health legislation passed recognizing the many forms of cancer caused by air exposure at Ground Zero and had that coverage extended for 75 years. I have lived in the same NYC neighborhood as her since 2001 and she is polite and approachable. Her staff? Who cares.
