Kanye has been an asshole his entire career. Ask anyone who ever had the misfortune of working on a show he was on, he is a nightmare who only took, never gave. I have a very specific Sandy 12/12 Benefit story that speaks to this, spare me the ‘don’t add to the stigma’ nonsense.

It was VMA’s at RCMH. I worked late at US Open and was supposed to run over but went to see Trey Anastasio at Carnegie Hall that night instead. Glad I did. I was there when Kanye called us all racist backstage at LV VMA’s after MTV gave him carte blanche and spend 250k on his set

Ah. Thanks for that correction! I don't even know why I was watching, but I remember how he jumped up onstage and was appalled. My heart went out to Taylor, because she was still really young then as I recall. Wanted to give her a motherly hug and call out his boorish behavior.
