Kanye has been an asshole his entire career. Ask anyone who ever had the misfortune of working on a show he was on, he is a nightmare who only took, never gave. I have a very specific Sandy 12/12 Benefit story that speaks to this, spare me the ‘don’t add to the stigma’ nonsense.

A friend of mine is a very well respected sound engineer. He left a Kanye world tour after 6 months because of how badly he saw him treat the "underlings." (KWs word). He's toured with a lot of big names, and said that Kanye was monstrous.
He speaks the truth. Most of his crew walked off the job at Bonnaroo. When he was told he was going on before Pearl Jam he said ‘fuck those guys, who the f*ck is Pearl Jam’ Vedder was standing nearby and heard him, PJ went first and played a xtra-long set. KW went on at 3am. ;)

My friend's been in the biz for 30+ years, worked with a lot of "divas." It had to be horrific circumstances for him to leave in the middle of a job. I cannot understand why that man is still revered. He's abhorrent. (I've heard the PJ story. Love it!)

Gawd. I work in corporate live events and the big companies often hire older big time acts for entertainment, like Al Green, Jennifer Holliday, Blondie. Mixed amounts of diva-ness. Hope I’m retired b4 Kanye reaches that part of his career.
