He does and always has, but speed is his drug of choice, as it makes him feel in control and because Alcoholism is so rampant in his family. People hear anecdotal evidence and then they pass it on to others as gospel. It’s how the whole ‘Trump has dementia’ thing started. Tweets from folks who never met the man. He has a lifelong addiction problem and his brain is fried as a result. He knows what he’s doing.

Isn't it possible that the damage the drug use has caused has also triggered a secondary condition that is escalating? He seems worse with each passing week.

Yes. There is alcohol/drug induced psychosis AND dementia. If caught right away, it MAY be reversed but generally it isn’t. I lost a family member to this. He ended up in a psych ward after 50 years of not having psych problems (other than addiction & depression).

Addiction & dementia don't go well together and seems to speed it up(personal experience). I don't know if that's the case but losing his balance today seems like something he wouldn't like. You know more than I. Thank you for putting your ass on the line when no one else would.
