Did you know that all the statues of women in Central Park are fictional characters?
That’s about to change.
For the 1st time in the park’s 167-year history, real women will be represented in the Women’s Rights Pioneers Monument, to be unveiled 8/26.

There were women who faught in combat in the American Revolution, The Civil War(Union side). These women faught as men did for OUR country. This is documented. There's a wife who replaced her injured husband on an artillery battery during the Revolution. No Fictions needed.
